Magician
        (Creed)

You’re lying there in bed
In a house that no one’s ever heard about before
On a hill that no one’s ever seen.

It’s cold outside
You’ve trapped yourself inside your own asylum
Waiting for someone to set you free.

It’s hard to see
'Cause every time you look into the mirror
You see only what you’ve come to believe.

But wasn’t it wonderful?
The way you lived your life.
You lied your way through everybody
Winning with your worthless honesty.
And wasn’t it magical?
The way they saw your life.
Picture perfect in a glass case
Growing in unending enormity.

Then things changed
She came into your big deceitful world
Looking for the man behind the schemes.

It feels so strange
Just how easily she saw right through you
Uncovering your true identity.

But it never lasts
She found out more than she could handle
A victim of your life’s uncertainty.

She was so beautiful
Before she left your life
Everyday was warm and fuzzy
Now you sit alone and wait to die.
Now isn’t it wonderful?
The way you feel inside.
Everything is dead and empty
You’re left alone to cry…

Now fire and rain consumes your life.
Because you and I,  we’re always right.
It’s cold again
I’ve never felt like this before
The thought of her drains all my energy.
Now it’s clear to see,
How beautiful my life will never be.
