Sarah's Eyes
(Tofte/Warren)

Well she jumped across the ocean
To fall in love with her life
Sick and Tired of going through the motions
While everybody made decisions, made excuses, made their way
But she's the one who's leavin' cause she made her mind up not to stay

Well she searched for a story
To tell her friends back home
She fell in love in purgatory
He took her heart, he took her money, took her life and left his seed
She came to the conclusion that her life and her had disagreed

When she looks in Sarah's eyes
She's got a story of her own
What's she going to tell those friends of hers back home?
When she looks in Sarah's eyes
All her problems seem to be gone
She can rest at ease, though her plans turned out all wrong

When she stood on her front porch
With a small souvenier
Father dear slammed the front door
Justified, Disgusted Shouting "One's too many, two's a crowd."
Her complicated, infiltrated, dilapidated soul cried out....

"Somebody, help me please!
Jesus Christ, I'm on my knees."
A self concerning world turned a blind eye
But she summoned the strength to carry on
'Cause this beautiful beautiful girl must learn right from wrong

When she looks in Sarah's eyes
She's got a story of her own
She forgets about those friends of hers back home.
When she looks in Sarah's eyes
All her problems seem to be gone
She can rest at ease, though her plans turned out all wrong
